Specialised, mentor-led preparation for CLAT and IPMAT — built around the way the National Law Universities and the IIMs actually test you.
IMS Learning Resources has prepared aspirants for India's most competitive entrance examinations for four decades. The Vijayawada branch — under the direction of Venkatesh Kotte — brings that pedagogy to Andhra Pradesh with one tight focus: CLAT and IPMAT.
We do not coach for ten exams. Our entire faculty, library, and timetable is designed for CLAT and IPMAT — so every hour of class is sharply on-target.
Batch sizes are deliberately small. Every student is tracked individually by their mentor — strengths logged, weaknesses worked, parents looped in.
Access to IMS's pan-India test series, current affairs digests, NLU/IIM panels and alumni mentors — but with the warmth of a local Vijayawada classroom.
Schedules respect school and board exams. Foundation tracks begin in Class XI; intensive tracks in Class XII; crash and repeater options for droppers.
The Common Law Admission Test, conducted by the Consortium of NLUs, is the single entry point to 24 National Law Universities and a long list of private law schools that accept the score. It is a comprehension-heavy, reasoning-driven paper — closer to a reading test than a memory test.
Marking: +1 per correct answer · –0.25 per wrong answer.
The Integrated Programme in Management is a five-year course at the IIMs that combines an undergraduate degree with the MBA — students walk out with an MBA at age 22. IPMAT is the entrance, rewarding quantitative speed and a strong command of English.
IPMAT Rohtak adds a Logical Reasoning section. Shortlisted candidates go through a Written Ability Test and Personal Interview.
Each track is a complete syllabus build — concept classes, sectional drills, sectional tests, full-length mocks, doubt clinics, and one-on-one mentor reviews.

From day one to exam day, here is exactly how we build your capability.
We baseline your current skills with a diagnostic test, followed by deep concept-building classes focusing on core fundamentals in Math, Logic, and English.
Transitioning from theory to application. We drill down into specific question types using sectional tests, prioritizing accuracy over speed initially.
Simulated exam environments. Crucially, every mock is followed by a 1-on-1 mentor review to analyze attempt strategies and trap-avoidance.
Time optimization, current affairs mega-revisions, and personalized mock interviews for IPMAT shortlisted candidates to guarantee conversion.
Question 1: Which grade are you currently in?
Based on your inputs, this is your ideal focus.
The classroom is a small place. What we do here decides what an aspirant becomes capable of in three hours of an exam hall.
Venkatesh Kotte directs IMS Vijayawada and personally mentors every batch. His teaching is built around two ideas — that students learn fastest when the classroom is small enough that the teacher remembers their name, and that a test prep institute is judged not by hoardings but by results. The Vijayawada branch is run on those two principles.
Preparation is less about knowing the right answers, and more about knowing the right questions to ask yourself.
Prithvi brings an analytical edge to the classroom, ensuring that students break down complex problems into simple, logical steps. With a focus on strategic exam taking, he works closely with aspirants to refine their accuracy and speed in competitive environments like CLAT and IPMAT.
Honest reflections from students who walked through these classrooms and into the country's law schools and IIM IPM campuses.
"What I valued most was that no question of mine was ever brushed aside. The legal reasoning class felt more like a discussion than a lecture, and that is what made the section click."
"The IPMAT short-answer section used to scare me. The mentor sat with me every Saturday for a month until the speed came. That kind of attention is rare."
"Venkatesh Sir's personal guidance changed my entire approach to CLAT. The mock analysis sessions are unparalleled."
— Ramesh V., Parent"The best part is the batch size. You aren't just a number here. Prithvi Sir's quant shortcuts saved me in IPMAT."
— Sneha M., Student"Highly recommend for serious aspirants. The library resources and the focused environment kept my child motivated."

The ultimate cheat sheet for Arithmetic and Higher Math.
Absolutely. In fact, many top rankers in CLAT come from Science and Commerce backgrounds. The exam tests reading comprehension, logical reasoning, and basic quantitative aptitude, not pre-existing legal knowledge. Our foundation courses ensure students from any stream adapt perfectly.
We maintain strict caps on our batch sizes (typically 25-30 students max). This is a core philosophy for us. Smaller batches mean Venkatesh and Prithvi can provide individual attention, track performance accurately, and ensure no student falls behind.
While IMS Vijayawada operates as a day-center, we have tied up with several verified, safe, and hygienic paying guest (PG) accommodations very close to our center. Our admin team will assist outstation students with settling in.
Depending on your track, you will have access to anywhere between 40 to 80 full-length national-level mock tests (SimCLATs and SimIPMATs), plus hundreds of sectional and topic-wise drills accessible via the IMS student portal.
Book a one-on-one counselling session with our mentor. We will assess where you are, where you want to be, and which programme will get you there cleanest.
